Arioso started in February 2008 with 3 former members of Upswing. Jim Kling, singing tenor, is in his 2nd year as a barbershopper and is currently working as a civilian police officer. Shad Durfee is now singing lead after singing tenor and then baritone in Upswing the 2 previous years. Shad is employed in the
computer software field. David Lau, singing baritone, is a new barbershopper in his 2nd year. Dave Durfee, singing bass, is the last remaining original member of Upswing and has been a barbershopper for 13 years. He is a retired construction worker.
